We are seventeen again and together.
In view of the current summer fashion trend of maxi dresses, I am thrilled yet the sudden boom of multiple cheap maxi dresses online makes me wonder if I should invest in one. However, I'm not over with the just-over spring trends. And although I don't like to follow fashion trends because it means half the world are going to dress in the same way as you, I cannot deny that I have fallen into that trap more than once (and often regretting it).
But this time, spring trends '08 seems to be a little overbearing on most people. I don't know if I'm the only weird one but I actually like it! And I've actually been on the lookout for dresses in the dip-dyed/tie-dyed fashion.

I've never really looked at the clothes on UO.com but wow they do have very nice peices at extremely nice prices too haha
New York Spring 08 Trends: Ombré
Ombré, the distinctive dip-dye fabric, in which colors gradually intensify from dark to light, glowed during the New York shows. Diane von Furstenberg and Adam+Eve’s Adam Lippes tapped into the material’s bohemian vibe with their fuss-free, travel-ready dresses. When applied to any shape or separate, the result is a bold yet breezy look, one that hardly needs accessorizing.
I would think that if dyed in the correct hues and colour combination, it would look really stunning as a piece of fashion statement, like the tie-dyed dress above! Exudes the bohemian and hippie yet stylish and feminine character of whoever is going to wear it.
Oh and how I wish we could order stuff from MissSelfridge.com because they have crazy deals like a 1pound maxi dress??!!! Yes girls, ONE POUND ONLY.
They have very very very nice maxi dresses but obviously get snapped up really quickly too and Missy here is way overpriced so I refuse to buy anything from there.
Okay I got a new dress in the mail today and I love it! Just that I wish I were skinnier. Oh and I have made myself a wishlist. I shall update it with my Ombré dresses. Its a friday and I'm at home (again) but I shall stay happy no matter what (:
